Sundays are great for updating the booth...

Mom and I updated the booth at Antique Gallery in Lewisville this afternoon.  Our booth is long and narrow so when we make changes it typically affects the entire space.  But we love to keep it fresh and stocked - take a peek:

If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex or are planning a trip to this area, please add Antique Gallery in Lewisville to your list of places to visit!

Isn't she lovely?

This great dresser has been in my garage for months just waiting for her transformation.  I kept changing my mind about what color/colors to use.  I also wanted a good block of time so I didn't have to start and stop a lot.  I had the opportunity to start and finish this project last weekend...love how she turned out.

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Coco, Emile and Old White. I applied dark wax to the whole piece.

Love that there are 9 drawers! I would probably use this as a buffet rather than a dresser.

More completed projects

In addition to the tea cart I shared in this post, I completed a couple of other projects last weekend:

I painted this little side table with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Coco and Old Ochre.  Our furniture sales have picked up as students are preparing to head off to college.

This old window was missing a pane so I cut a piece of Eucaboard and covered it with burlap that I had stenciled.  I attached it to the back using my staple gun.  Don't pass up old wood windows just because they have a missing or broken pane!

I had more time to paint this weekend so look for a new post soon!

New look for an old tea cart

Today I had a good block of time that I was able to devote to some painting projects.  I wanted to share pictures of this tea cart because it was my first time to use the color Emile by Annie Sloan.

See the difference between the top and the legs/bottom?  I used dark wax on the top.  I loved the color after the dark wax was applied!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Look how they've grown!

Happy 4th of July friends!  I shared pictures of our new patio in the backyard on May 29th.  This was the photo taken at that time of the newly planted fern and caladiums:

This photo was taken this morning:

Look how much the fern and the caladiums have grown!  There is quite a bit of sun glare in this photo, but this spot is actually pretty shaded.  The new plants, including the three new hydrangeas, seem to like their new home back here!

Hope you all have a wonderful Holiday today!
