New look for an old tea cart

Today I had a good block of time that I was able to devote to some painting projects.  I wanted to share pictures of this tea cart because it was my first time to use the color Emile by Annie Sloan.

See the difference between the top and the legs/bottom?  I used dark wax on the top.  I loved the color after the dark wax was applied!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

I've been seeing people use this color more and more! I love it, especially with the dark wax! Great job as always!

Very pretty, Stephanie. I like the variation in the finish.

I love how your tea table came out! So cute! Are you loving the Annie Sloan paint? I found your blog when I googled "Annie Sloan chalk paint review." Google led me to your review from June of last yar, when you had first tried it. I am wondering how you like it a year later? How do you think it would hold up on a breakfast table that is used for at least 2 meals a day, every day? I'm also wondering if you have ever used her 'Graphite' color and how close to black it is. TIA if you can answer either of these questions. I appreciate it and love your blog and all your pretty projects!

Oh my, I inherited a tea cart, but it's not so hot, but yours looks so fab. Guess I need to get out the modge podge.

Thanks for your visit Sandra. I still love using ASCP. It's so wonderful to not have to prime certain pieces. I have used graphite and it is not a true black in my opinion - it's more of a charcoal grey. I think the paint would hold up just fine on a breakfast table as long as you use a sealer of some kind - wax, poly even stain. The wax makes the paint look better and you could just reapply wax as needed - perhaps once a year or something.

This looks so cute! I love the color choice (I'll have to try it!) and the graphics are perfect.
I just found your blog, I'm following you and inviting you to join in at our linky party, too.
We'd love to have you!
